Sleepy Wrap
I'm sure you've heard of "baby-wearing" and "slings," but have you heard of Sleepy Wrap?
We tested it.
And then, we had the experts come in. Their names: Lorelei (3 years old), Aurora (1 year old), and Eden (newborn).
Lorelei, although 3 years old, adored the swing. Actually, she said she didn't want out. Ever. Which, should tell you all you need to know from her perspective. From a mom's perspective, wearing Lorelei in the Sleepy Wrap was great. She was comfortable, I was comfortable, and her weight was spread out evenly across me.
Aurora had a similar reaction. She liked it.
Eden's reaction was a little different:
She immediately fell asleep and protested any sort of disturbance that felt like she was being taken out of the wrap. Her mom liked that she could choose to carry Eden high or low, and in a variety of different positions.
We thought about it.
Sleepy Wrap is hands-down my favorite sling/wrap that I've tried so far. And, I've tried a lot!
In fact, if I were to list the attributes of the perfect baby-carrier, it'd be these:
- It must be easily adjustable. The same carrier must be able to accommodate my husband and myself...and any future or present friend of my choosing.
- It must keep my baby secure.
- It would be comfortable for my child - whether she's a newborn or 3 years old.
- It must be comfortable for me - I can't hike if my shoulders and back feel like I'm dislocating every bone.
- It should be breathable.
- It wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg.
- It would allow me to conveniently and discreetly nurse my daughter while in it.
- It would allow me to change my child's positions in it, depending on what they liked.
- It would allow me to cook and shop...with both of my hands.
- It would be made of quality fabrics.
- The feel of it would make me smile.
- It would be turquoise.
Okay, 11 out of 12 is pretty great. And, truthfully, with all of the other great colors that Sleepy Wrap offers, I think I can get past the non-turquoise part.

I have tried traditional slings and recieved unwarranted advice (esecially since the recall of whatever brand) and even a spot in the church prayer list (Dear God, please don't let Mrs. Katie drop the baby that she is wearing. Amen.) ~ granted, it was from children, but still...I believe the sleepy wrap would prevent both of those things from happening.

I would use the wrap to wear my son when I get home from work. I work all day and only have 2-3 hours with him in the evening. I think it's super important for us to be close physically during this time since we miss so many hours during the day. So, I would use the wrap to reconnect with my son every evening after work

As a grandmother, I would use the sleepy wrap when the babies where in my care so I could continue to do any housework that was needed. (Although I must say housework usually ends when the babies are over). But I could also use it when on trips with family to give the daughters-in-law a break. I could get a turn carrying and cuddling the babies.

I really do love this!!!!! And after packing Miss L when she was younger on a hike in the woods, I can totally see the benefit. (and no Ash, you can't say "I told you so". lol)

#2 --> Oh, my gosh. So many colors to choose from. Since I only have granddaughters at this time, I really love the dark pink. But if I ever get a grandson, I would have to get the royal blue. Or maybe the green, or the light blue, or........... What a dilemma. Maybe I need one to match each outfit.
I'm torn between the black or the red Sleepy Wrap. Black is slimming though, right? I sure hope so... you should see my closet.
I thought about black but would it be hot out in the sun? Like say at an amusement part? I think I will read some more on it.

I would use my Sleepy wrap for newborn snuggles while getting things done around the house and for going out and about!
I'd use this all the time. I work from home so it would be great to wear my baby when I am working as well as doing household chores! We also love hiking in the beautiful Oregon woods so we'd use the wrap for this too. Yes, WE... My husband loves baby wearing too!
With a 15 month old and another due in 3.5 months, I could use the sleepy wrap!!! I'd love a chance to win!

I have a 3 year old, a 2 year old, and a newborn. I would use the sleepy wrap from the time I wake up in the morning until we go to bed with the kids! From cleaning to cooking to going for walks, one of the kids would always be in it!!!
My son loves to hang out in the mei tai. But the straps sometimes rub and hurt my neck & shoulders. A friend of mine had the sleepy wrap, and let me try it out, and I absolutely LOVED it! I love the brown, royal blue, orange, and dark green. I've had you liked on facebook for a while now, just never entered. I figured now would be a good time to do do. Thanks!

I just love the Sleepy Wrap!! I would use it around the house, taking my baby to the beach (we live right by the ocean), and shopping, of course! Cannot wait to put my newborn baby girl in one once she's born!!

I love Stretcvhy wraps! I have a few I made myself but I've heard wonderful things about sleepy Wrap and would love to win one! I would use it for everything; Shopping, cooking, breastfeeding, cuddling, and even going pee!! I have liked you on FB and I have also been a fan of Sleepy Wrap for a long time now. My favorite color of Sleepy Wrap is Green. I like it because it works well for Boy or Girl but is still a brighter more fun color than the neutrals. Hooray for SleepyWraps!!
I have a 18 month old right now and would most likely use it right now when we are taking walks or out and about, I am 26 weeks pregnant and its a pain (literally) to hold her on my hip all the time. and of course once the new baby gets here I would love to be able to have the baby close to me all the time and be hands free.

Wow I like alot of the colors they have, I am torn between a few of them, like the black, brown, orange, light blue and as much as I'm am so not a fan of the color green I like their dark green one too!
I've been drooling over the sleepy wrap since I first saw a facebook ad months ago. I'm currently a nanny and I recently purchased a sleepy wrap to make the job easier, especially while walking the baby downstairs. It feels more secure. It also has come in handy when the baby is fussy due to tummy trouble. He only calms down when he is being held over the shoulder and walked (back breaking) or when carried in the sleepy wrap. The Sleepy Wrap also helps a colicy baby to sleep for longer intervals. Major bonus! And then there are all the everyday activities that become easier when your hands are free! I purchased a second one for a baby shower gift. I'm sure that I will buy more sleepy wraps as gifts in the future. I plan to have kids of my own one day, and I expect to use the Sleepy Wrap sooo much that having another one would come in handy. My husband and I are quite active. We moved to our new home because of the nice park nearby, we love to visit other outdoorsy places, going on nature walks and mild hikes. And the Sleepy Wrap kicks strollers' BUTTS!! I once took two children to the zoo, and found myself carrying the baby on my hip and trying to push the stroller with the "free" hand. Never again! It would be nice to win one since I'm one of your best customers already! lol I have the green one now (It's my favorite color and appropriate for both genders). On cooler days and evenings, it would be nice wear the black one for elegant and slimming look (not because I need to look slimmer, but in case my baby is on the chubby side...Yeah, yeah. That's it.) Sleepy Wrap, I already consider myself a winner for finding this product, but I would love for you to also name me the winner of this contest!! Oh, and of course, I'm already a facebook fan!!

Wow. I read the other moms' posts and now I'm wishing we could all win! Having 3 kids, or limited time together are also great reasons to be chosen as winners. But then, I plan to have 2 kids, be a stay-at-home mom, and eventually homeschool, so I'll have my work cut out for me too! Good luck to all the candidates!

We are expecting our first so I am not entirely sure how we will use it yet. We know that we will need one though. I assume for doing things around the house. We both also work with our hands so it will be helpful to be able to place the baby on our bodies so that it will be easier to maneuver around the house while taking care of things such as cooking, walking the dog etc.
I would use this when we are out and about instead of a stroller
I'd love to win this for my friend who has twin boys. They already have one baby carrier but could really use another one with having 2 babies. This would be great for one of the boys who is a major mama's boy. He won't let her go anywhere that he can't see her without crying. Since the boy seem to have different schedules right now.
