Hot Artichoke Spinach Dip
If you've ever eaten the Artichoke Spinach Dip and Tuscan bread from Olive Garden, then you know how absolutely wonderful it is.
In fact, if I could choose only one food to eat in Heaven, that would be it. Well... maybe not, but it still ranks pretty high on the list. And I don't even like spinach.
If you've ever eaten at Olive Garden you also know how expensive this small appetizer can be. So in the spirit of saving money, here is the recipe for their amazing dish. Only much cheaper, and it's sure to make you the hit of the party.
Ingredients
- 8 Oz Package Cream Cheese
- ½ Cup Spinach (Thawed) Chopped
- 14 Oz Can Artichoke Hearts (Drained & Chopped)
- ¼ Cup Mayonnaise (Do Not Use Miracle Whip)
- ¼ Cup Parmesan Cheese
- ¼ Cup Romano Cheese
- 1 Clove Garlic (Minced)
- ½ Tsp Dry Basil
- ¼ Cup Mozzarella Cheese (Grated)
- ¼ Tsp Garlic Salt
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
Directions
- Allow cream cheese to come to room temperature.
- Cream together mayonnaise, cream cheese, parmesan, romano cheese, garlic, basil, and garlic salt. Mix well.
- Add artichoke hearts and spinach, and mix until blended.
- Store in a container until you are ready to use.
- Spray pie pan with Pam, pour in dip, and top with cheese.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until the top is browned.
- Add chopped tomatoes to top and serve with toasted French bread.
Kick It Up A Notch
For a spicier dip you can add some diced habanero peppers. Unlike other peppers, it will add the spice without messing with the flavor.
You can also add some diced lobster for those of you who can't have a dish without meat.
